Clora takes care of invoicing for you, but what happens if you submit a timesheet late? What kind of support does Clora provide? And what kind of tax documentation can you expect?

Before we dive in, make sure you have a full understanding of how timesheets work and review our Timesheet FAQs for any lingering questions you might have. Below is our timeline to payment, from the moment you submit your timesheet to payday.

Submitting your timesheet late can result in late payment, as our collections process is on a strict timeline to limit payment delays. This could result in your timesheet being bumped out to the following month's collection cycle. Don’t worry, we’ll remind you multiple times before you reach that step!

Our best tip for avoiding late payment? Submit your timesheet as soon as you’ve finished work for a month.

Clora starts the 30-day clock! Our Finance team works hard to build relationships with employer AP/AR departments to ensure open lines of communication.

If an invoice has not been paid within that 30-day window, the Finance team communicates with the employer to understand the delay and get that invoice paid. We’ll keep you in the loop should this ever happen on one of your engagements.

As soon as we have received notice of payment being issued, we can process that payment to you. It takes on average two business days to land in your account.

Payment set-up, tracking, and receipt will occur through bill.com, Clora’s payment processing system.

If you are starting work on an engagement through Clora for the first time, our Finance team will send you a blank W9 to fill out and return to us. Then you’ll receive an invite to bill.com, where you will be able to verify your financial details, choose payment method and track your payments.

In January of each year, our Finance team will send you your 1099 via Track1099. This 1099 will represent all of your projects through Clora for the previous year.

Because of the nature of the secure email, it may end up in your spam folder. Check there first, and if you still don’t see it, reach out to us. You can then use this 1099 to file your taxes - just make sure to include any other forms of income from that year from other sources.

If you have any other questions regarding invoicing, timelines, taxes or anything at all, please reach out to us at support@clora.com!
