We’ve matched a lot of consultants and employers in our time. Over the years, we’ve developed a list of best practices when it comes to onboarding your consultant that will ensure a smooth and positive work experience. Ultimately, a positive consultant relationship benefits you and the work you are doing!
Make sure the consultant has access to all of the platforms, apps and technology you need them to use
Will they need a company email or badge? Laptop? VPN access? Authenticator apps/security?
Have consultant meet the internal team they will be working with and external teams as needed (i.e CROs, vendors)
Who is their day-to-day contact person?
Who should they escalate to if questions or concerns arise?
Confirm how and when you prefer to communicate (email, phone, Slack, text)
Check your spam folder to ensure no emails are getting placed there (from the consultant or from Clora)
Calendarize any regular meetings
What milestones do you want them to achieve? How will you measure progress on the project (Qualitative and Quantitative)?
What specific deadlines does the consultant need to know?
Confirm how detailed you want the consultant’s timesheet to be and when they should be updated throughout the month (i.e. weekly, monthly)
If this is your first time working with Clora ensure that your vendor set-up form is completed. Our Finance team can assist with this
